Second-year player expects to compete for the starting job at defensive end following a breakout spring . . . registered three tackles in the April 9 spring game, including 1.5 for losses (7 yards), one pass break-up and two quarterback hurries . . . produced four tackles for loss (19 yards), including a 7-yard sack, and was credited with two QB hurries in the April 2 scrimmage . . . 2021 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Saw action in six games in 2021 (at Kentucky, vs. Jackson State, at Coastal Carolina, vs. Georgia State, at LSU and at the Ragin’ Cajuns) while working behind Seth Mason and Myles Cole at defensive end . . . played 57 snaps on defense and nine plays on special teams (field goal/extra point) . . . played a season-high 30 snaps in the 2021 opener at Kentucky and was credited with one QB hurry . . .
