2006:  Sat out the season to concentrate on academics.

2005:  Became starting center in training camp ... Started all 11 games ... Graded out over 80% in six games ... Season-high grade of 91% against Florida International ... Had 64 knockdowns on the season ... One of three sophomores and two freshmen that started all 11 games on the offensive line for ULM ... Offensive line allowed only eight sacks in 2005, and only one in Sun Belt action ... After giving up five over the first three games of the season, line play tightened up and only allowed three over the last eight games of the season ... Line allowed Steven Jyles to throw for 2,235 yards and had four backs rush for 200+ yards on the season - Calvin Dawson (656), Jyles (436), Mason Denham (228), and Kinsmon Lancaster (212).

2004:  Saw action as a second-team guard in his first year of participation.

2003:  Redshirt season.

CENTER HIGH SCHOOL:  Was twice all-district for Coach Paul Essary and voted Center High’s Outstanding Lineman and Academic All-State as a senior ... Lettered three years in football, four years in baseball and two years in powerlifting for the Roughriders ... Compiled a 3.8 grade point average in high school and was a member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL:  Born January 4, 1985 ... Son of Jay and Traci Gregston ... Has two sisters, Angie and Briana ... Kinesiology major ... Volunteers at Head Start programs ... Goes by middle name ... First name is Darren.
