Jamaal Fobbs starts his first season as the ULM football wide receivers coach in 2024.
No stranger to Louisiana, Jamaal Fobbs arrives in Monroe after spending two seasons as the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator at Miles College. Before his stint at Miles, Fobbs spent six seasons as the running backs coach for Tulane. At Tulane, Fobbs' running backs earned top 10 single-season program records in each season he coached. The Green Wave held the No. 1 rushing attack in the American Athletic Conference in 2020, as Tulane averaged 217.1 yards per game on the ground and tallied 32 rushing touchdowns, the seventh-highest mark in the country. Tulane captured a pair of bowl victories during his tenure, including the 2020 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl and the 2018 AutoNation Cure Bowl. The Louisiana native holds over 20 years of college football coaching experience, which includes stops at Liberty, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Southeastern, North Carolina A&T, LSU and Texas College. Fobbs was a standout running back at Oklahoma State and was named All-Big 12 his senior year in 2000. He is the brother of Broderick and his father, Lee, was an assistant coach at ULM from 1989-90.
