Pederson was among the leaders in the receiving corps in Bolfing's first year, hauling in 43 receptions for 567 yards and 9 touchdowns. His statistics ranked as the most receptions, yards, and touchdowns by any tight end in a single season in ULM history.

Jared Porter finished with the 3rd best single season punt average in ULM history at 43.8 yards per punt. He was accompanied by Jacob Meeks who broke the ULM single season record for touchbacks on kickoff. Meeks also had the 2nd highest touchback percentage in a single season in ULM history.

The special teams unit ranked among the Sun Belt leaders in gross punt (third at 43.6 yds), net punt (fifth at 38.9 yds), and kickoff (second at 4.06 yds).

Prior to joining the staff in 2019, Bolfing served as the Tight Ends Coach at McNeese State University under Lance Guidry.

He previously served as a graduate assistant under Viator at ULM from 2016-17, working primarily with the quarterbacks and wide receivers.

ULM ranked among the Sun Belt leaders in total offense (second at 458.2 yards per game), scoring offense (second at 33.9 points per game), passing offense (third at 287.9 ypg.) and rushing offense (fourth at 170.3 ypg.) in 2017. The Warhawks also ranked among the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision leaders in total offense (No. 21), passing offense (No. 24), scoring offense (No. 25) and passing efficiency (No. 29 with a 146.2 rating).

He assisted in coaching wide receiver and kick returner, Marcus Green, who earned first team All Sun Belt honors as well as being named an All-American by the Sporting News, Football Writers Association of America, CollegeFootballNews.com, and Pro Football Focus. Bolfing's offense also produced All Conference players in lineman, Frank Sutton and wide receiver, R.J. Turner. Quarterback Caleb Evans and wide receiver Brian Williams picked up honorable mention honors.

A native of Montgomery, Texas, Bolfing played in 27 games for McNeese from 2012-14, including five starting assignments. In 2014, he threw for 990 yards and six touchdowns. Bolfing completed 98-of-177 career passes (.554) for 1,252 yards and 8 touchdowns. He stepped away from playing to begin his coaching career as a student assistant, as the Cowboys posted a perfect 10-0 regular-season record en route to the 2015 Southland Conference Championship.

Bolfing was part of several memorable games during his career, including road wins over FBS opponents Middle Tennessee (27-21) in 2012 and South Florida (53-21) in 2013 as well as a near-upset at Nebraska (lost 31-24) in the 2014 season opener.

He completed all four of his pass attempts for 37 yards in McNeese’s 32-point win at South Florida – the largest margin of victory by a Football Championship Subdivision team over a then BCS opponent in NCAA history.
