2015 (R-Freshman)
Appeared in all 13 contests… Made multiple tackles in each of his first seven career games… Collected consecutive TFLs at Georgia, bursting through the line for a one-yard loss on a run up the middle before going untouched for a six-yard sack in the second quarter… Followed that outing with a career-high seven tackles against Nicholls, including a forced fumble… Made five at Tulsa and had two other four-stop contests (Alabama, Appalachian State)… Ended the season with six TFL.
2014 (Freshman)
Redshirted... Was twice named coaches’ scout team player of the week on defense (Idaho game week; Kentucky game week).
Prep
Was a three-sport athlete at Plano Senior High School... Earned three letters in football under direction of head coach Jaydon McCullough... Finished final prep season with 99 tackles, including 16 for loss and eight sacks... Also scored one touchdown as a senior... Following senior season, was named District 10-5A Defensive Player of the Year, Class 5A Region Elite Team First Team, All-State Honorable Mention, All-Vype Magazine DFW/Collin County Defensive Player of the Year, All-Area First Team... Was runner-up for Dallas Morning News’ Player of the Year award and was once named the publications Sports Day Hero... Had 131 tackles with four blocked kicks as a junior and 87 tackles as a sophomore... Finished prep career with 249 tackles, 30 tackles for loss (including 15 sacks), 13 quarterback hurries, seven quarterback knockdowns, four interceptions, four pass breakups, three blocked kicks, one fumble recovery... As a junior, was named All-District 10-5A First Team, Vype Magazine Game Changer (Linebacker), Watch List Football 5A, First Team All-Collin County, Honorable Mention All-State... Was Part of 7-on-7 State Championship team in 2012... Named District 10-5A Newcomer of the Year, All-Vype Magazine DFW/Collin County First Team and Rising Star 5A Football following sophomore campaign.
