2008 (Freshman): Redshirted

Prep: Guided Acadiana High School to the 2006 Louisiana 5A State Championship (Game MVP) and the 2005 & 2007 Louisiana State Championship Game...threw 13 touchdowns and just six interceptions as a senior for the Rams; he threw for 1,512 yards and rushed for 650 yards and 13 touchdowns...his junior year didn't throw an interception and added 12 touchdowns...finished his career with a 32-6 record as a starter and threw for over 3,200 yards...played the 2007 State Championship Game with a separated shoulder...all-district honorable mention in 2005...also lettered in baseball
