2013 (RS-Junior)
Appeared in nine games and made six starts for the Wolfpack... Completed 149 of 247 pass attempts (.603) for 1,667 yards and four touchdowns... Had a career long 80-yard pass on the season... Rushed 72 times on the season for 129 yards and two scores... Saw action in season opener against Louisiana Tech and completed 15-of-27 passes for 212 yards... Was 24-of-31 for 237 yards in start against Richmond... Threw for 213 yards on 20 completions (36 attempts) against Clemson... Was 14-of-20 for 244 yards and one touchdown against Central Michigan... First road start came at Wake Forest... Was 27-of-43 for 257 yards and one touchdown against the Demon Deacons... Threw for 157 yards (17-of-35) and one score against Syracuse... Started the first nine games of the season until being sidelined for the remainder of the year with an injury in week nine (San Diego State)... Finished 161-of-261 (.671) for 1,607 yards and seven touchdowns... Also rushed for three touchdowns (the most by a Colorado State QB since Caleb Hanie had four in 2006)... Completed all but four passes (22-of-26) for 178 yards and one touchdown in the season opener at New Mexico... The .846 completion percentage against the Lobos was the second-best single-game mark in porgram history (.870; Caleb Hannie; at Colorado; Sept. 9, 2006)... Threw for 259 yards and one score against Northern Colorado... Was 28-of-42 against the Bears... First career rushing touchdown came against Colorado... Graduated high school one semester early and enrolled at Colorado State in January 2010... Started all 12 games and finished the season 253-of-391 for 2,662 yards and 11 touchdowns... and broke the all-time program record for single-season completion percentage... The mark of .647 is one of the highest marks ever recorded by a true freshman at the Division I level... One the nation’s 16 true freshman to start at QB in 2010 and was the only one to start all 12 games... Made collegiate debut against Colorado and finished 24-of-33 for 196 yards... Was 23-of-36 for 194 yards at Nevada... First career 300-yard game came at Miami (Ohio)... Completed 26 passes (40 attempts) for 305 yards and one TD against the Redhawks... Had a completion percentage of .806 (29-of-36) against Idaho... Threw for 386 yards and three TDs against the Vandals... A three-year starter, three-year captain and two-time team MVP at Valhalla High School... Guided the Norsemen to a 19-5 record over his final two seasons... Combined over those junior and senior years, threw for 5,553 yards, 52 TDs and only 11 INTs, completing better than 66 percent of his passes to capture consecutive Grossmont South League Offensive Player of the Year honors, in both 2008 and 2009... Including the last three games of his freshman year, started 36 games in a storied prep career, finishing with back-to-back first-team all-state recognition... As a senior in 2009, guided the Norsemen to the first conference championship in the 34-year-old program’s history, and the first round of the CIF Division II state playoffs, completing 64 percent of his passes for 2,392 yards, 24 scores and only six INTs; also ran for six TDs... As a junior in 2008, threw for 3,161 yards, with 28 TDs and five interceptions, and completed 68 percent in helping VHS advance to the San Diego section final at Qualcomm Stadium, where the 11-2 Norsemen lost to eventual Division II state bowl champion Cathedral... Also served as his team’s kicker, earning first-team all-league honors as a junior... Owns single-season and career VHS passing records for completions, completion percentage, yards and touchdowns, as well as career field goals... Selected first-team all-conference as a junior and senior, and second-team all-league as a sophomore...Earned sophomore all-state honors in 2007... Lettered four years in football, and two in baseball, where he played varsity as a freshman and sophomore before opting to concentrate on football...
