Ashleigh Simmons was announced as the assistant director of compliance in July of 2018. Before her administrative role, Simmons served as the Director of Basketball Operations for ULM women's basketball for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.Â
Simmons, a Sun Belt All-Conference First-Team selection in 2013-14 as a senior, spent the next year and a half as a graduate assistant in the ULM Athletic Academic Services office in the Student Success Center. She mentored student-athletes during study hall and oversaw the finances and paperwork for over 15 student-athletes.
A 2014 graduate of ULM, Simmons earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in mathematics. She was honored on the Sun Belt Commissioner’s List in 2012-13 and 2013-14 for tallying a grade point average above 3.5.
On the court, Simmons was a two-year Team Captain as a junior and senior and became the 17th 1,000-point scorer in school history on Feb. 26, 2014 in a 76-70 win over South Alabama at home. She finished her career with 1,040 points.
