William Marchino Jr. was named an assistant coach of the ULM women's basketball team on June 3, 2026.
Marchino arrives at ULM from Seward County Community College, where he spent three seasons as the head coach. He led the Saints to their second consecutive 20+-win season in 2025-26, recording a 57-39 overall record. Marchino coached nine All-KJCCC honorees, as well as the 2025-26 KJCCC Player of the Year and Third Team All-American Avery Marchino. Marchino previously spent a season at Washburn as an assistant coach. He began his first stint at Seward in 2020, where he helped the Saints to four Top 25 wins and a finish in the Region VI semifinals.
Marchino spent the 2018 to 2020 seasons at Grand View University, assisting the team to the 2018 NAIA National Tournament, the first in Grand View's history. Prior to his jump to the collegiate ranks, he was the head women's basketball coach at Iowa Central Academy for three seasons. Marchino also owned and operated his own AAU program, the Iowa Dragons for eight years with his wife, Amanda.
Marchino is a 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa, receiving his bachelor's degree in health and sports studies.
