Reid Gann, who led Blue Mountain Christian University to three NAIA National Championship Tournament appearances and won 130 matches in six seasons, was named head coach of the ULM indoor volleyball program before the 2025 season.

"We are thrilled to welcome Reid Gann to our Warhawk family to lead our indoor volleyball team," said ULM Director of Athletics John Hartwell. "His track record of building winning programs at both the high school and collegiate levels stands out and we look forward to him doing the same for ULM indoor volleyball."

"I am truly honored to lead ULM volleyball and embrace the opportunity to build something special here," said Gann. "Our vision is to create a culture of excellence that our players, fans, alumni and administration can be proud of – both on and off the court. We are eager to get to work and lay the foundation for a successful and competitive program."

Gann comes to ULM after leading the Blue Mountain Christian volleyball team and was the head coach for six seasons. Gann was the architect of the program at Blue Mountain Christian in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, and was the team's first head coach in its 2019 inaugural season. He quickly built a national powerhouse at BMC and led the Toppers to a trio of NAIA National Championship Tournament appearances.

In 2024, Gann's team won over 20 matches for the fourth consecutive season and reached the Southern State Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals. 11 of Gann's student-athletes earned postseason SSAC awards, including two Toppers winning SSAC First Team All-Conference.

The 2023 season saw Gann and the Toppers capture their second-straight SSAC Regular Season Championship and third-consecutive SSAC Tournament Championship with BMC sweeping all five matches 3-0. The Toppers won 24 consecutive matches and posted a record of 26-2. Gann coached NAIA All-American and SSAC Player of the Year Gigi Sasso, who tallied 283 kills and posted a .272 hitting percentage. In addition, Gann was named AVCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year and SSAC Coach of the Year.

In 2022, Gann led the Toppers to a program-high 34 victories and their first-ever SSAC Regular Season title. BMC earned its second-consecutive SSAC Tournament Championship and NAIA National Tournament Appearance. He was named SSAC Coach of the Year and coached NAIA All-American Honorable Mention and Barnes & Noble Scholar-Athlete of the Year Anna Lucas, who passed 846 assists and hit 69 service aces.

Gann led the Toppers to a 30-9 record in 2021 and BMC's first NAIA National Volleyball Championship Tournament appearance after winning the 2021 SSAC Tournament Championship. The Toppers were one of six teams in the country with 30 or more victories. Seniors Juliana Taylor and Taylor Wright earned AVCA All-Region Northeast honors. Taylor also was named 2021 Barnes & Noble College Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

In the first two seasons of leading the program at BMC, Gann coached the Toppers to 19 victories and successfully launched the volleyball program. BMC qualified for the 2019 SSAC Tournament in the first season of the program.

Before starting the volleyball program at Blue Mountain Christian, Gann was the head volleyball coach at New Albany High School in Mississippi. While at New Albany High School, Gann led the Bulldogs to three consecutive 20-win seasons and consecutive district championships. He was selected to coach the 2018 North Half All-Star Games and coached the Daily Journal Class 4A Player of the Year.

Gann began his volleyball coaching career at his alma mater, Belmont High School, where he started its volleyball program from scratch in 2012. Under his tenure, the Cardinals went 59-23 in four seasons and won the division championship in 2013.

A former student-athlete, Gann played baseball at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi, and graduated with an associate's degree in 2008. He earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of North Alabama in 2012 and a master's in athletic administration and coaching from Western Kentucky University in 2021.
