Brianna Love Named to NFCA All-Region Team

STARKVILLE, Ms. – Junior outfielder Brianna Love of the ULM softball team was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-South Region Team today (May 20). Love was named to the all-region second team; she also received all-region honors last season.

Love earned All-Sun Belt first team honors for the second-straight season this year; she was also twice named the Sun Belt Player of the Week, was the Sun Belt Preseason Co-Player of the Year and earned All-Tournament honors at the ULM Mardi Gras Classic.

She led the Sun Belt in three offensive categories this season: slugging percentage (.723), on base percentage (.533) and walks (41), while setting ULM single-season records in batting average (.394), on base percentage and walks. Love led the Warhawks in 11 statistical categories, including batting average, runs (41), hits (54), home runs (11) and stolen bases (15).

In the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, Love hit a pair of game-winning home runs with batting .454 with three stolen bases and three walks. Love's performance earned her all-tournament honros for the second consecutive season. 

Love started all 50 games this season for the Warhawks in the leadoff position and in centerfield, pushing her consecutive games started streak to 129. Love also had 11 assists this season from her outfield position. She also had a team-high 13 multi-hit games and a team-best 11-game hitting streak.

In her three-year career at ULM, Love ranks first all-time in batting average (.353), slugging percentage (.649) and on base percentage (.455)

With her selection to the all-region team, Love is now eligible for selection to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-American teams, to be announced on Wednesday, June 2 at 4 p.m.
