TROY, Ala. – Troy volleyball recorded its sixth-straight win with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-21) victory over ULM at Trojan Arena Friday night. The Warhawks battled back within one point in the third set, but the Trojans took early leads in all three sets. Trojan Tori Hester posted a .412 hitting percentage and match-best 16 kills and 10 digs as Troy hit .324 for the match as a team.

For ULM, setter
Bailey Roberson hit .583 with a career- and team-best eight kills and shared team-best honors with seven digs.
Callie Humphrey and
Cameron Rogers also had seven digs a piece.
After a 2-2 tie, Troy rattled off six-straight points to take an 8-2 lead in the first set. Any time ULM tried to start a scoring streak, the Trojans had a clutch response and kept the Warhawks at bay. ULM got within five points at 6-11, but Troy kept adding to its lead until the 25-16 final.

In the second set, Troy committed only one attack error which allowed the Trojans to build on an early advantage and take the second set 25-18. Â
Roberson had five of her eight kills in the final set, but the Trojans got out of the gate quickly with an 11-3 lead. The Warhawks closed within two points on two occasions after Trojan miscues and then drew within one point at 17-18 after back-to-back attack errors by Hester. Hester extended the Troy lead back to two with a kill, but Roberson answered for ULM for a one-point deficit at 20-21. The Trojans scored on four of the next five possessions for the set three final, 25-21.
ULM and Troy meet in the second match of the two-match Sun Belt Conference Saturday, October 22, at 1 p.m. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
