Gara Beth Self converted a pair of free throws with 17 seconds left in the first half to cut ULM's deficit to 42-35 at the intermission. Hollings accounted for nine of the Trojans' 23 points in the period.

Emma Merriweather collected a missed 3-point attempt by Sam and scored on a put-back and followed with a layup, off a feed from Olivia Knight, as ULM (6-10, 2-3) pulled to within 42-39 with 7:42 remaining in the third quarter. The Trojans broke the game open with an 11-2 spurt late in the period and grabbed a 66-48 lead on Hollings' steal and layup with 2:19 on the clock. A 3-pointer from Jada Walton gave Troy its biggest lead at 75-51 with 9:32 to play in the fourth quarter. Merriweather's layup sparked a 10-2 run as ULM trimmed its deficit to 79-66 on Bre Sutton's steal and layup with 4:09 left, but the Warhawks failed to further close the gap. ULM outscored Troy, 23-20, over the final 10 minutes.

"We know Troy is tough," ULM head coach Brooks Donald Williams said. "They disrupt you offensively, but I thought we did some good things. We scored 74 points and outrebounded them, and that's tough to do against Troy."

As a team, Troy hit 42 percent of its field-goal attempts (34-of-82), including 5-of-12 3-pointers, while ULM went 25-of-71 from the floor (35 percent), including just 1-of-8 from behind the 3-point arc. The Trojans held a decided advantage in points off turnovers, 32-16; fast-break points, 33-21; and bench points, 50-30. The Warhawks outrebounded Troy, 52-51.

A total of three Trojans scored in double figures, including Amber Leggett and Hollings who came off the bench to contribute 13 and 12 points, respectively. Leggett also added 11 rebounds.

Amaya Ford, who connected on 6-of-12 field-goal attempts, scored 15 second-half points and finished with a career high 17 to pace the Warhawks.

"It's exciting to see Amaya Ford come alive," Williams said. "She played well for us against Coastal and stepped in tonight and got some big buckets and tough rebounds. She was an energizer for us tonight."

ULM had two other players reach double figures in scoring, including Merriweather who posted her third-straight double-double with 16 points (6-of-9 FG shooting) and 15 rebounds. Her rebound total matched her season high, and her five blocked shots equaled her career best. Over the last three games, Merriweather is averaging 14.0 points, 13.3 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shots while connecting on 63 percent of her field-goal attempts (17-of-27).

"Emma had another strong game," Williams said. "She stepped up and caught some tough passes. We are proud of her efforts. She's getting better every game."

The Warhawks also got 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals from Sutton.

ULM concludes its four-game road trip at Sun Belt-newcomer Southern Miss (11-5, 4-1) on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m.
