ULM Warhawks

MONROE, La. – The ULM men's and women's track and field team split up across four meets from Thursday to Saturday, picking up six individual first-place finishes across the meets.
 
Ali Eren Unlu won the men's elite high jump at the Mt. SAC Relays at Mt. San Antonio College, while Amanda Radava won the women's 800 meters and 1500, Harlie Medrano won the women's discus and Juwan Blignaut won the men's 800 and 1500 at the Leon Johnson Invitational at Northwestern State.
 
Unlu set the school outdoor high jump record, clearing 7-2.5 (2.20) to win his first title of the outdoor season. His mark is tied for the fifth best in NCAA Division I.
 
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi took second in the long jump at 19-11.5 (6.08 meters) at Long Beach State's Pacific Coast Intercollegiate on Thursday.
 
At the Leon Johnson Invitational, Radava won both the 800 and 1500. Radava completed the 800 in 2:13.16 and set a personal best in the 1500 in 4:48.87 to take both events. Medrano won the discus with a throw of 150-00 (45.71 meters). On the men's side, Blignaut won the 800 in 1:54.76 and the 1500 in 3:58.11.
 
Also at the Leon Johnson Invitational, Brianna Washington was second in the discus (147-8, 45.00 meters) and shot put (43-8, 13.31 meters) while Nasya Ramirez was third in the long jump (19-9.75, 6.04 meters). For the men, Cole Burgess was third in the pole vault (15-3, 4.65 meters).
 
Personal bests for the women's team at the Leon Johnson Invitational included Sydney Lake in the hammer throw (168-9, 51.43 meters), Olivia McCrary in the javelin (122-8, 37.40 meters), Medrano in the shot put (43-1.5, 13.14 meters) and Brianna Taylor in the 200 (25.05).
 
Personal bests for the men's team includes Aiden McCrary in the javelin (164-10, 50.25 meters), Ryan Norton in the hammer (142-2, 43.34), Jay Parker in the 1500 (4:13.93), Madison Langley in the 800 (2:05.00) and 1500 (4:19.56), Teddy Gowen in the 1500 (4:19.86), Reid Guirlando in the 400 (51.25) and Andrew Nolan in the 100 (11.40).
