MONROE, La. – South Alabama scored multiple runs in four of the seven innings, cruising to a 12-2 win in seven innings over ULM on Sunday to claim the Sun Belt Conference series, 2-1, at Lou St. Amant Field.
Jeremy Lee (1-5) tossed all seven innings for the win for South Alabama (17-18 overall, 7-8 Sun Belt Conference), allowing two runs on five hits with three walks and nine strikeouts. Five Jaguars had multiple hits. Tyler Borges hit a 3-run home run to open the scoring in the second inning and finished with two hits, four RBIs and three runs scored. Joseph Sullivan hit a solo home run to open the scoring in the 3-run fifth inning, picking up two hits on the game with an RBI and three runs scored. Cole Ketzner followed later in the fifth with a 2-run home run before adding a 2-RBI double in the seventh inning. Ketzner totaled five RBIs with a run scored. Will Turner and Trey Lewis also had two hits each.

Seaver Sheets drove in runs. Starting pitcher
Hollis Huff (1-2) suffered the loss, allowing four runs on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts in two-plus innings. Seven different pitchers appeared in the game for ULM.
ULM plays seven of its next eight games on the road, starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Little Rock.
