ULM Warhawks

MONROE, La. – The ULM men's and women's track & field teams posted 17 first-place finishes at the Warhawk Classic Friday and Saturday at Brown Stadium and Groseclose Track.
 
The Warhawks had eight victories on the women's side and nine on the men's side.
 
For the women, Eliana Battle opened the meet with a win in the 5,000 meters on Friday, finishing in 18:34.55. On Saturday, Olaia Becerril Alvarez won the long jump at 19-3.5 (5.88 meters). Sydney Lake took the hammer throw at 167-6 (51.06 meters). Amanda Radava won the 1500 in 4:35.39. Brittney Roberson took the 400 in 56.17. Lisa Warfvinge won the triple jump with a leap of 39-4.5 (12.00 meters). Brianna Washington won the discus with a heave of 152-2 (46.40 meters). The 4x400-meter relay team of Roberson, Brittney Taylor, Radava and Kimone Campbell won in 3:50.70.
 
Olivia McCrary was the only women's athlete to set a personal best, doing so by throwing 124-4 (37.90 meters in the javelin.
 
For the men, Jakob Fudge won the hammer throw with a heave of 185-1 (56.42 meters). Reid Guirlando won the 800 in 1:56.22. Brandon Lewis took the 400-meter hurdles in 53.62. Jay Louison-Roe claimed the triple jump at 46-11.75 (14.32). Ryan Norton won the discus at 152-8 (46.55). Jhavonte Perry claimed the 100 in 10.53. Rojs Puks won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:38.83. Callan Saldutto won the javelin with a throw of 210-3 (64.09). The 4x400-meter relay team of Joseph White, Perry, Lewis and Jordan Hollis took the win in 3:26.18.
 
Teddy Gowen set a personal best in the 5,000 meters in 15:57.56, and Santana Richardson set a personal best in the 400 in 48.87.
 
ULM closes the regular season at the Mississippi State Maroon and White Invitational Friday and Saturday.
