MONROE, La. – Georgia State's Aaliyah Faddoul scored in the 58th minute and the Panthers made it stand up in a 1-0 win over ULM in a Sun Belt Conference match Thursday night at Brown Stadium.
ULM (6-2-2 overall, 1-1-0 Sun Belt Conference) outshot Georgia State (5-1-3, 1-0-0) 11-9, and each team placed four shots on goal. Only Faddoul's shot found its way into the net.
Faddoul had four of GSU's shots and put two on goal.
Mara Grutkamp had three shots to lead ULM, putting one on goal. Four different Warhawks accounted for the four shots on goal, but Jaddah Foos played all 90 minutes in goal, posting the shutout for the Panthers.
Alexa Castro made one save and allowed the goal for ULM, while
Mickaela Leal made two saves in the scoreless first half.
ULM heads to Lafayette on to face the Ragin' Cajuns at 1 p.m. Sunday.
