JONESBORO, Ark. -- The ULM women's golf team dominated the field and captured its first team championship of the season while junior
Anna Andrysova claimed medalist honors as the top finisher at the 2024 Lady Red Wolves Classic held at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark.
"This was a big week for our team," said ULM Women's Golf Head Coach
Rachel Pollock. "Everyone played their part in coming back to Monroe with a win. It was a complete team effort from each player. We support, motivate and push each other every day."
The Warhawks finished atop the leaderboard of a 17-team field with a score of 285-295-289 (+5), finishing 13 strokes ahead of second-place Little Rock. ULM led in par three scoring (3.15), par four scoring (4.06) and total birdies (45).Â

"Annie played some of the best golf I have seen in her career this week," said Pollock. "Her first round was lights out and she was able to close out the final round today under the pressure of getting her first individual win. She was very impressive, and I am proud of her for this amazing achievement."
Freshman
Isabel Mas Pitarch produced another strong performance in her first season as a Warhawk and placed in the top-10 with a score of 219 (72-76-71). Mas Pitarch average score on par fours was 4.03, which was the eighth-best mark in the tournament.
Daniela Campillo climbed 20 spots on the leaderboard in her final round of the tournament and finished tied for 12th with a score of 221 (74-76-71). Her teammate
Johanna Sjursen also fired a score of 221 after a three-round tally of 75-71-75.
Tessa Ion shared 23rd place individually with a 224 (73-75-76) and
Matilda Svahn placed 32nd as an individual with a 226 (72-73-81).
The ULM women's golf team will complete the fall season at The Ally in Starkville, Miss. from Oct. 21-23.
"As a team, today's round showed how strong we are top to bottom in our lineup," added Pollock. We had everyone step up and compete in some difficult conditions on the back nine. Having four players in the top-12 and the whole team in the top-25 at an event shows how deep our lineup is."
