MONROE La – The ULM volleyball team returns to Fant-Ewing Coliseum for the first time in 2024 when it hosts the Thundering Herd from Marshall.
The Warhawks enter the weekend with a 0-6 SBC record. They dropped their two matchups last weekend in Jonesboro, Arkansas against Arkansas State.
Marshall has a similar track record to ULM as it also presents a 0-6 conference record. It lost both matchups to James Madison last weekend.
For ULM, sophomore
Ariana Brown enters as the biggest threat on the attack. She has culminated in 179 kills during the season (3.20 per set) and has a .160 hitting percentage. She is also a team leader in service aces with 21 (.38 per set).
Supporting in the attack are freshman
Taly Cloyd and sophomore
Hannah Redrow. Cloyd is third on the team in kills with 93 with a hitting percentage of .200. Redrow has produced 95 kills in 2024, good for second on the team.
Setting for ULM is sophomore
Morgan Howard, who has tallied 409 assists (6.82 per set) in 2024. Howard is also second on the team in service aces with 14 and has 136 digs for the season, also second most for ULM.
Senior
Cameron Rogers leads the team in defense. Her 254 digs (4.23 per set) are the most on the team. Senior
Kali Walker also ranks well in digs, being third on the team with 126.
The duo of Redrow and
Lydia Mesusan are the main blockers for the Warhawks. Redrow leads the team in total blocks with 30, and Mesusan is second most on the list with 24.
For the Thundering Herd, Audrey Geer leads the team in kills with 176 (2.79 per set) and service aces with 19. Brynn Brown is also a threat on the attack with her 147 kills.
Brown plays the role of the setter for Marshall. Her 423 assists lead the team by a wide margin.
On defense, Payton Neal is the top defender with her team-leading 263 digs (4.17 per set). Beatrice Ciccarelli leads in blocks with 60 total blocks, including 15 solo blocks.
Game one starts on Friday, October 18 at 6 p.m., and game two serves on Saturday, October 19 at 2 p.m.
