MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team lost match two 3-0 (25-9, 25-22, 25-12) to Texas State on Saturday.
 
In the first set, the Bobcats (0-0 overall, 0-0 Sun Belt) took control early with a 10-1 start. A 10-2 run by Texas State put the set away with the Warhawks (0-0 overall, 0-0 Sun Belt) having no answer.
 
In set two, things were more competitive with a 9-9 score to start. The Warhawks went on a 4-1 run to take a three-point lead. The Bobcats responded with five unanswered to take the lead into the media timeout.
 
Trailing 20-16, ULM used a 5-1 run to tie the set at 21-21. Unfortunately for the Warhawks, Texas State scored four of the last five points to take the set and go up 2-0.
 
The Warhawks fell behind early in set three with an 8-1 start for Texas State. With a 6-2 run, the Bobcats increased the lead at 14-6. With another 6-2, they ended any chances of a comeback and secured the weekend sweep.
 
Ariana Brown led the team in kills with 10. Morgan Howard produced 20 assists, and Cameron Rogers had 10 digs.
 
The Warhawks go on the road next weekend to Troy, Alabama to take on the Trojans.
