MONROE, La – The ULM volleyball heads to Mobile, Alabama to begin a two-game series with the South Alabama Jaguars.
Both teams enter the weekend with a 0-2 Sun Belt Conference record. The Warhawks dropped their first two games against Southern Miss in two 3-0 sweeps.
The Jaguars lost a series vs. their in-state rival Troy. They lost the first game 3-0 before losing a five-set match after having a 2-0 set lead to start.
For ULM, sophomore
Ariana Brown enters as the biggest threat on the attack. She has culminated in 151 kills during the season (3.36 per set) and has a .181 hitting percentage. She is also a team leader in service aces with 19 (.42 per set).
Also on the offensive for the Warhawks are sophomore
Hannah Redrow and freshman
Taly Cloyd. Both are second and third on the team in total kills in 2024, with Redrow having 77 and Cloyd with 74. Redrow also has 11 aces this year.
Setting for ULM is sophomore
Morgan Howard, who has tallied 307 assists (6.53 per set) in 2024. Howard is also second on the team in service aces with 11 and has 96 digs for the season, also second most for ULM.
Senior
Cameron Rogers leads the team in defense. Her 212 kills (4.51 per set) are by far the most on the team. Senior
Kali Walker also ranks well in digs, being third on the team with 92.
For South Alabama, the top offensive weapon is Abryanna Cannon, who tallies 134 kills (3.19 per set) on the year. Cannon also had 90 digs and 27 blocks with 13 block solos. Maradith O'Gorman and Sarah Gooch add to the attack with 90 and 88 kills respectively.
Setting up for the Jaguars is Anna Loberg with her 377 assists (8.98 per set). She also leads the team in 13 service aces in 2024. Defensively, Briana Wilson has a team-leading 166 digs. Lillie Simmons leads the Jaguars in total blocks with 37.
