MONROE La. – The ULM volleyball team travels to Troy, Alabama to take on the Trojans in a two-game series this weekend.
The Warhawks enter the weekend still looking for their first Sun Belt Conference win. They failed in their last two matches, losing to Texas State.
The Trojans own a 3-7 record in Sun Belt play. They were swept in their series last weekend vs. Arkansas State.
For ULM, sophomore
Ariana Brown enters as the biggest threat on the attack. She has culminated in 228 kills during the season (3.17 per set). She is also a team leader in service aces with 26 (.36 per set).
Supporting in the attack is sophomore
Hannah Redrow. She has produced 118 kills in 2024, good for second on the team, and has a .190 hitting percentage.
Setting for ULM is sophomore
Morgan Howard, who has tallied 554 assists (7.29 per set) in 2024. She passed the 1,000 career assists last weekend in match one vs. Texas State. Howard is also second on the team in service aces with 15 and has 179 digs for the season, also second most for ULM.
Senior
Cameron Rogers leads the team in defense. Her 326 digs (4.29 per set) are the most on the team. Senior
Kali Walker also ranks well in digs, being third on the team with 162.
The duo of Redrow and
Madeline Villarreal are the main blockers for the Warhawks. Redrow leads the team in total blocks with 40, and Villarreal is behind her with 34.
Tori Hester leads the team in kills for Troy with 256 (4.92 per set). Amiah Butler is also a threat on the attack with her 182 kills.
Janelle Stuempfig and Jordan Sinness both play the role of setter for the Trojans with 291 and 219 assists respectively.
On defense, Jaci Mesa is the top defender with her team-leading 153 digs (3.00 per set). Sydney Austin leads the team in total blocks with 32.
Game one starts on Thursday, October 31 at 6 p.m., and game two serves on Friday, November 1 at 6 p.m.
