MONROE La. – The ULM volleyball team travels to Atlanta, Georgia for the final series of the season when it faces off with Georgia State.
The Warhawks enter the weekend still looking for their first Sun Belt Conference win. They failed in their last two matches, losing to the Ragin' Cajuns.
The Panthers own a 5-9 record in Sun Belt play. They were swept in their series last weekend at Georgia Southern.
For ULM, sophomore
Ariana Brown enters as the biggest threat on the attack. She has culminated in 260 kills during the season (3.13 per set). She is also a team leader in service aces with 30 (.36 per set).
Supporting in the attack is freshman
Taly Cloyd. She has produced 133 kills in 2024, good for third on the team. Junior
Ryley Boyne is also a threat, possessing the second most kills in the team with 162.
Setting for ULM is sophomore
Morgan Howard, who has tallied 695 assists (7.64 per set) in 2024. She passed the 1,000 career assists this season and is now fifth all-time for assists with 1,191 in ULM history within the 25-point rally-scoring era. Howard is also second on the team in service aces with 20 and has 220 digs for the season, also second most for ULM in 2024
Senior
Cameron Rogers leads the team in defense. Her 391 digs (4.30 per set) are the most on the team. Senior
Kali Walker also ranks well in digs, being third on the team with 190.
Lydia Mesusan leads the team in total blocks with 43.
Hannah Redrow and
Madeline Villarreal are behind her with 41 and 39 blocks respectively.
Keionna Mackey leads the team in kills for Georgia State with 307 (3.10 per set). The Panthers have three other hitters with over 200 kills on the year with Alessia Cappai, Akira Burt, and Peyton Gash.
Shanelle Martinez leads the Panthers with 560 assists. Patrycja Zielinska also ranks high with her 468 assists on the year.
On defense, Kaleigh Fitzgerald leads the team in digs with 378 (4.11 per set). Kayla Broom is first with 79.0 total blocks in 2024.
Game one starts on Thursday, November 14 at 6 p.m., and game two serves on Friday, November 15 at 6 p.m.
