ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Six ULM track & field athletes competed at the University of New Mexico Collegiate Classic from Feb. 2-3 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Claudine Raud-Gumiel took fifth place in the women's pentathlon with 3,816 points, which was the highest point total in ULM indoor track & field history. Raud-Gumiel earned top 10 finishes in every event, and placed third in the high jump with a 1.70m and fourth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.76. In the women's long jump
Olaia Becerril Alvarez placed 18
th overall with a mark of 5.83m (19' 1½")while
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi finished 25
th with a jump of 5.62m (18' 5¼"). Ilunga Mbuyi earned a seventh-place finish in the triple jump with a season-high mark of 12.88m (42' 3¼"). Ilunga Mbuyi set the ULM indoor track & field school record with her jump. Becerril Alvarez placed 21
st in the 60m dash preliminaries with at 7.78.

On the men's side,
Stafon Roach continued his impressive indoor season with a second-place finish in the triple jump. Roach recorded a 15.29m (50' 2") jump.
Algirdas Strelciunas claimed seventh place overall in the long jump with a leap of 7.21m (23' 8").
Oscar Prieto rounded out the men's competitors with a mark of 5.10 (16' 8¾") in the pole vault.

The ULM track & field team will head to Houston for the Howie Ryan Invitational on Friday (Feb. 9) in the final indoor meet before the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
