HOUSTON -- Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi (triple jump), J'Marcus Sewell (200m) and Devin Bilbo (60m hurdles) all set school records in their individual events as the ULM track & field team competed in the Howie Ryan Invitational at the University of Houston on Friday (Feb. 9) in the team's final indoor meet before the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Ilunga Mbuyi continued to dazzle in the triple jump for the Warhawks and broke her own school record and set the meet record with a 13.12m mark. Kimone Campbell also earned a first-place finish in the 1 mile race with a time of 5:03.44, which was a personal best time. Campbell also placed third in the 800m race at 2:12.19. Olaia Becerril Alvarez claimed a podium spot in the long jump with a mark of 5.89m. Ilunga Mbuyi finished right behind her with a 5.75m. Claudine Raud-Gumiel rounded out the top five finishes on the women's side with a height of 1.65m in the high jump. Other Warhawks who clocked personal-bests in the mile run in Houston included Anna Naff (5:20.74), Ansley Long (5:23.37) and Sohalia Schoen (5:23.72).

On the men's side, Bilbo and Darshon Turk both captured spots in the finals after finishing in the top eight in the preliminaries. In the finals, Bilbo shattered the ULM school record with a time of 7.98 and took third place in the event while Turk also broke the record with a 8.03 in the finals, finishing fourth. In the 200m dash, Sewell crossed the finish line in 21.47, which broke the indoor 200m record. Juwan Blignaut brought home second place in the 800m with a time of 1:53.32 while Algirdas Strelciunas garnered third place in the long jump with a distance of 7.37m. Stafon Roach recorded a 14.85m in the triple jump for fourth place. Four Warhawks completed the mile race with personal-best marks including Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo (4:17.75), Rojs Puks (4:17.88), Chase Gunn (4:22.05) and Teddy Gowen (4:39.02). In the weight throw, Chase Rodriguez (14.20m) and Blake Stevens (12.94m) both locked up personal bests.

The SBC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Birmingham, Ala. on Feb. 19-20
