AUSTIN, Texas – The ULM track & field team competed at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational this weekend in Austin and San Marcos, Texas. In total, sixteen Warhawks earned top 10 finishes in their respective events.
 
The weekend was highlighted by Kimone Campbell, who broke the ULM program record in the 1500m with a time of 4:30.75. Her teammates, Anna Naff (4:54.11) and Ansley Long (5:03.10) also earned personal best marks in the same event. Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi won the long jump at the Texas Relays with a result of 6.14m. Olaia Becerril Alvarez lept 6.01m for a ninth place finish in the long jump. Illunga Mbuyi also took third in the triple jump with a mark of 13.03m. Naff rounded out the top finishers on the women's team after recording a top-10 finish in the 5000m race at the Bobcat Invitational with a time of 18:21.36.

On the men's side, Darshon Turk crossed the finish line in third in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.04. Juwan Blignaut earned two top three finishes in the 1500m (3:48.13) and the 1 mile race (4:05.44) in Austin. The Warhawks had three field athletes finish inside of the top 10 at the Texas Relays with Bailey Couch placing seventh in the javelin (61.98m), Oscar Prieto placing seventh in the pole vault (5.15m) and Stafon Roach coming in eighth in the triple jump (14.97m). Rojs Puks placed second in his first steeplechase event of the season at the Bobcat Invitational with a 9:33.65. Turk clocked a time of 14.11 in the 110m hurdles at the Bobcat Invite for a seventh-place finish. Dylan German (4th place, pole vault 'B'), Algirdas Strelciunas (8th place, long jump 'a') and Jay Louison-Roe (8th place, triple jump 'a') added top 10 finishes for the Warhawks in a trio of field events.

The ULM track & field team continues its outdoor season next weekend at the Joe Walker Invite on the campus of Ole Miss starting Friday (April 5).
