CHOUDRANT, La. – Louis Anceaux cracked the top-10 and placed tied for eighth on the individual leaderboard as the top Warhawk finisher as the ULM men's golf team kicked off the 2024 fall season this week at the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La.

Anceaux turned in a pair of scorecards at three-under par in his first two rounds of the tournament. After a final round of four strokes over par, Anceaux finished the tournament two strokes below par, good for a share of eighth place.

As a team, the Warhawks shot +28 (+9/+5/+14) and were 15
th of 18 teams on the leaderboard.
Theis Poulsen shot an even-par 72 in his first round before tallies of +1 and +3 in his final two rounds for a cumulative score of +4 for the tournament, sharing a tie for 29
th place individually.
Rory Milne finished the tournament with his lowest round of -1 and finished +8 overall.
Tommaso Rossin (+20) and
Javier Balbastre (+24) rounded out the field for the Warhawks in the first tournament of the season.

Troy captured first place as a team with a three-round cumulative score of -7. Houston was the only other team to post a score below par at -4. Rice and Little Rock shared third place with scores of +6. Individually, Rice's Lukas Boandl secured medalist honors with a total score of -10. Troy's Nick Fowlkes placed second at -8 and Joshua Hill of South Alabama took third with a score of -6.

The ULM men's golf team will be back on the course on Sept. 22 at the Graeme McDowell Invitational, hosted by UAB, in Birmingham, Ala.
