CHOUDRANT, La. – The ULM men's golf team competed in the Argent Financial Classic, beginning on September 27 and concluding on September 29. The team finished tied for seventh in the Louisiana Tech-hosted tournament with an overall score of 872 (+8). With a strong 284 in the second round, the Warhawks were able to compete throughout the event.

Ben Stoller led the team with a top-10 finish, placing seventh on the leaderboard with a 211 (-5) on his scorecard. After a one-over finish in the first round, he went on to score five-under for a stunning 67, sinking six birdies to gain the edge. Stoller went on to drain an eagle in the final round of play, scoring a 71.

Benjamin van Braak finished next for ULM, with a 220 (+4) overall. After scoring two 74s in the opening two rounds, the first-year found par with a 72 in the final. Amilkar Bhana followed close behind with a 221 (+5), logging seven birdies across three rounds as he scored a 75-73-73. Preston Cooper also competed for ULM, his first appearance in the Warhawk lineup. Cooper posted a 222 (+6), with a 77 and 75 in the first and third rounds. But a strong two-under second round showed Cooper can compete. Louis Anceaux rounded out the field for the Warhawks, recording a 225 (+9) with scores of 75-75-75 under his belt.

For the individuals, Theodor Berg finished in the top 20 of competitors with a 215 (-1). After finishing one-under with five birdies in the opening round of play, Berg finished the second round three-over. Looking to make a change, he went on to log a 69 in the final round to come up under par. Caden Lester also competed as an individual, notching a 219 (+3). After scoring a 74 and a 73 in the first two rounds, a 72 made his scorecard in the third.

Fellow Sun Belt team Troy took the team victory, finishing with an 846 (-18), while two individuals shared the title in a tie. Lamar's Nathan Woodham and Louisiana Tech's Oskari Schuvalow both finished 10-under to claim victory.

The Warhawks will next compete in Florida, at the West Bay Collegiate Invitational, hosted by FGCU. The teams will tee off on October 5.
