CHANDLER, Ariz. – The ULM men's golf team has completed its first event of the 2026-27 season, with
Amilkar Bhana leading the Warhawks in the Bombs Darts Birds Collegiate. The par-72 event, hosted by USC, had ULM finishing 11th of 13 teams at Whirlwind Golf Club. The Warhawks scored an 835 (-29) overall, logging 59 birdies.
Amilkar Bhana opened play with two scores of 68 (-4) in the first two rounds of competition. He then finished three-under in the final round of 18 for a total of 205 (-11) to finish 11th on the leaderboard.
First-year Benjamin van Braak landed 23rd on the leaderboard in his first foray into collegiate competition, scoring a 207 (-9) overall. After a first round of 74, he settled in and scored a 64 (-8) in his second round. He concluded with a 69 in the final round.
Louis Anceaux finished 29th in the standings, with a 73 in the first round, a 68 in the second and a 68 again in the third. Anceaux led the team with 15 birdies.
Dakota Cunningham finished 71st with an overall 217 (+1), reaching par in the first round and one-under in the second.
Ben Stoller was close behind with a 218 (+2), reaching par in round 2 and scoring a 71 in round 3.
The Warhawks will next compete in the Sandestin Collegiate Classic, hosted by Texas State, on September 14. The event, held in Destin, Florida, will take place in three rounds over three days.
