YOUNGSVILLE, La. -- The ULM beach volleyball team (7-9) wrapped up competition at the Sugar Beach Bash with a 3-1 victory over Southeastern Louisiana (4-10) on Saturday (March 15) at the Youngsville Sports Complex.
Abby Ryno and
Claire Williamson locked down the first win of the day for the Warhawks with a 2-0 sweep over Ysabella Lockwood and Maggie Paiva in pair no. 2, 22-20, 21-19. ULM went ahead 2-0 in the duel with a pair no. 4 win for
Avery Hunter and
Zsa Zsa Ferguson over Kennedi Steele and Carley Petty with a three-set win (14-21, 21-19, 15-10). The Lions won pair no. 5 by a score of 21-18, 21-16 after Aspen Steele and Anne Brauckmiller edged
Bailey Hope and
Kaelyn Fredette-Huffman.
Kaitlyn Beck and
Madeline Marquez secured the duel-clinching point in pair no. 1 with a 24-22, 21-19 victory over Mia McKinney and Alexis Logarbo. The match was played to decision due to lightning in the area. Pair no. 3's match ofÂ

Following an off week, the Warhawks will play at the Sun Belt Mid-Year Tournament from March 28-29 at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala.
