POINT CLEAR, Ala. -- The ULM women's golf team punched its ticket to the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship Semifinals after securing a fourth-place finish in stroke play with a cumulative score of 885 (+21) after the completion of the third round of stroke play on Wednesday (April 16).
The Warhawks will advance to take on Georgia Southern on Thursday (April 17) at 7:30 a.m. from The Lakeland Club in Point Clear, Ala. Coastal Carolina and Southern Miss will battle in the other semifinal match with the two winners advancing to the championship match on Thursday following the semifinals.
ULM had a pair of players named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team:
Daniela Campillo and
Anna Andrysova. Campillo repeated as a member of the SBC All-Tournament Team from last season after finishing in a tie for second place with a three-round total of 213 (-3) with scores of 71-70-72. Andrysova registered a 217 (+1) for a share of sixth place after shooting 73-70-74.
Johanna Sjursen carded a 76 (+4) in Wednesday's third round and placed 27th individually with a score of +8.
Matilda Svahn shot her lowest round of the tournament on Wednesday with a 78 (+6).
Isabel Mas Pitarch fired an 80 (+8) in the final round of stroke play.
The lineups for tomorrow's semifinals match will be set at 6:30 a.m. before the teams tee off at 7:30 a.m. The ESPN+ broadcast will begin at 10 a.m.
