MADISON, Miss. -- The ULM men's golf team shot a 292 (+4) in the second round of the Sun Belt Championship at Annandale Golf Club and is in ninth place at +8 through 36 holes.
Arkansas State leads the field in stroke play after two rounds with a score of -10. Coastal Carolina holds second place at -4 while Georgia Southern shot a 284 (-4) to drop to -4 overall and sits in third place entering the final day of stroke play. The Ragin' Cajuns and Troy are tied for fourth place after the first two rounds. The top four teams following tomorrow's third round advance to match play on Thursday to decide the Sun Belt Champion.
After shooting a one-under 71 in the first round, senior
Theis Poulsen finished his second round with a one-over 73 in round two and leads the Warhawks after two rounds with a cumulative even-par score, good for a share of 18th place individually. Poulsen made one birdie in his second round and has made six total birdies in the tournament.
Sophomore
Louis Anceaux compiled the lowest round for the Warhawks on Tuesday with an even-par 72, carding 18 pars. He is tied for 22nd on the player leaderboard at +1 overall.
Senior
Rory Milne trimmed his second-round score to a one-over 73 and closed out the round with a pair of birdies on the final four holes. Milne has a cumulative score of +4 and is tied for 38th place.
Senior
Javier Balbastre improved his score by two strokes in Tuesday's second round and registered two birdies for a score of 74 (+2), sitting at +7 overall in a tie for 56th place.
Freshman
Caden Lester carded a 78 (+6) in the second round and is tied for 56th individually at +7.
The third and final round of stroke play of the Sun Belt Championship will be played on Wednesday, April 23.
