DESTIN, Fla. – Two Warhawks finished in the Top 15 at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic at Raven Golf Club, leading the ULM men's golf team to finish second on the leaderboard.
Amilkar Bhana turned in two scorecards three under par, shooting two-under in round two for a total score of 205. Bhana finished fourth on the leaderboard to lead the team.
Louis Anceaux finished 15
th on the leaderboard with a score of 209 (-4), shooting three-under in round two and two under par in the final round.
As a team, ULM posted scores of 277-278-281 (-7, -6, -3) in the three rounds, finishing second of 13 teams.
Dakota Cunningham shot under par in the first and second rounds, shooting one-over for a cumulative -2 and finishing tied for 22nd.
Theodor Berg also shot one-under in round one, even-par for round two and three-over in the final round, finishing +2 overall.
Caden Lester (+3) rounded out the field for ULM in the tournament hosted by Sun Belt opponent Texas State.
Middle Tennessee claimed the win at Raven Golf Club, with a cumulative score of -20. The Warhawks were joined in second place with Austin Peay (-16). West Florida (-13) and South Alabama (-12) rounded out the top five. Middle Tennessee's Carter Maneth placed first on the leaderboard, posting 16-under for a score of 197. Burch Harrison of High Point and Patton Samuels of Austin Peay each tied for second (-10), with ULM's Bhana and Mercer's Phillips Swift rounding out the top five to shoot eight-under.
The Warhawks will continue the fall season on September 29, traveling to Houston, Texas for the Bayou City Intercollegiate, hosted by Rice.
