MADISON, Miss. – The ULM men's golf team concluded its season on Thursday (April 30), completing stroke play for the Sun Belt Championships. The Warhawks finished seventh on the leaderboard of 14 teams with an overall score of 880 (+16).Â
Louis Anceaux led the team, shooting four-under across all three rounds. Anceaux drained 15 birdies across all 54 holes, recording a score of 67 (-5) in the second round to help ULM post an eight-under round 2. He finished tied for seventh on the leaderboard.
Theodor Berg followed closely behind, sitting at 32nd in the individual standings scoring a 222 (+6), a second round score of three-under to contribute to the Warhawks' rise.
Amilkar Bhana recorded a seven-over score to reach 36th on the leaderboard.
Caden Lester, highlighted by his hole-in-one in the third round, scored an even-par 72 in round two and a 69 (-3) in round three to reach a scorecard of 225 (+9).
Mason Comeaux rounded out the scoring for ULM with a score of 243 (+27).
Coastal Carolina claimed the lead spot to enter match play, with an overall score of 850 (-14). The Chanticleers were led by individual title winner Max Bengtsson, who finished 11-over for the crown. Arkansas State (853), Southern Miss (856) and South Alabama (863) rounded out the top four to advance to match play in the semifinals. The top three teams were the only three to finish stroke play under par.
