Campillo Qualifies for NCAA Women's Golf Regional Championships

The sophomore from Viladecans, Barcelona will compete in Gold Canyon, Arizona from May 5-7.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Sophomore Daniela Campillo was selected to participate as an individual in the 2025 NCAA Women's Golf Championships and will compete in the Gold Canyon Regional from May 5-7 at the Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club in Gold Canyon, Arizona, the selection committee revealed on Wednesday (April 23).

Campillo is the first Warhawk to qualify for postseason play since 2014, when Alison Knowles received an individual bid to play in the 2014 NCAA Regional Championships. The Warhawks qualified for regionals as a team in 2023 after winning the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship. She will be one of 396 participants in the championship with each regional site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

In her sophomore season, Campillo checked in at No. 215 in the latest SCOREBOARD national rankings and finished with an adjusted scoring average of 72.7 in 34 rounds. She registered a trio of top three finishes, which included her first-career individual championship at the ULM Invitational and a runner-up finish at the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship. Campillo added a second-place finish at the Hoover Invite and fifth-place performance at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate.
