AUBURN, Ala. -- ULM sophomore
Louis Anceaux recorded his lowest round of the NCAA Auburn Regional with a score of 70 (-2) and climbed 10 spots on the leaderboard in the final round on Wednesday (May 14) at the Auburn University Club. Anceaux finished the event with a cumulative score of 216 (E) and tied for 13th overall.
In Wednesday's final round, Anceaux birdied two holes on the first nine after scoring a three on the par four second hole and a two on the par three fifth hole. After a bogey on 14, Anceaux drained birdies on holes 15 and 16 to lower his score to -3. He finished with a bogey and a par to complete his final round with a 70 (-2).
Kennesaw State's Claes Borregaard advanced to the national championships as an individual after shooting a 208 (-8). Auburn (-32), Texas A&M (-5), UCLA (+6), Purdue (+9) and Georgia Tech (+10) were the advancing teams out of the Auburn Regional.
