MONROE, La. – Seven ULM track and field athletes were named to the LWSA All-Louisiana Track and Field teams on Wednesday morning, which is earned by being one of the top three results in the state in a specific event.
Stafon Roach was the state leader in the triple jump with his result of 16.20m (53-1.75) at the Texas Relays, adding to his impressive 2025 resume.
Algirdas Strelciunas had the second highest mark in the long jump with a 7.74m (25-4.75) result while
Benedikt Schweizer produced the same placement in the men's hammer throw, posting a 59.44m (195-0) distance.
Matthew Malcolm rounded out the top three times in the men's 400m hurdles with a 51.36 time while Katerina Natsiopoulou had the same result in the women's event with a time of 59.37.
Chase Gunn represented in the 3000m steeplechase event with his 9:38.34 mark, and
Ruth Nilsen earned honors in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 54.26m (178-0).
