MONROE, La. – ULM Athletics and Van Wagner's Warhawk Athletic Sponsorships have named Josh McGehee as the next play-by-play voice for ULM women's basketball.

In addition to his play-by-play duties with women's basketball, McGehee will host HawkTalk with women's basketball head coach Scotty Fletcher, serve as host of the Bud Light Tailgate Show, Country Pleasin' Halftime Show and Jim Taylor Auto Group Postgame Show as well as fill-in sideline reporter for ULM football broadcasts, and will provide fill-in play-by-play for ULM baseball broadcasts in the spring.

Spanning over a full decade, McGehee's collegiate broadcasting career began as a student calling men's soccer and women's volleyball via ESPN streaming on behalf of Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. During his time as an undergrad, McGehee also secured sports media internships with iHeartMedia and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles, California.

After working for a sports radio station in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri for several years, McGehee was named the voice of Upper Iowa University athletics in 2021. For three years, McGehee provided play-by-play action for 10 different sports via local TV in Fayette, Iowa and online streaming, including the program's first season as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Prior to ULM, McGehee called games across multiple different sports on behalf of three DII institutions in the St. Louis area while also acting as play-by-play broadcaster during postseason action for five different sports on behalf of the GLVC.

McGehee received his bachelor's degree in Sports Communication from Bradley in 2016 and his master's degree in Sports Administration from UIU in 2023.

McGehee will make his ULM radio debut hosting the Bud Light Tailgate Show at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, on 105.3 FM KLIP and la105.com ahead of the football season opener at Malone Stadium against Saint Francis.
