Preview: ULM Hosts Doubleheader with Alcorn State/Lamar

The Warhawks will face the Braves at 3 p.m. and the Cardinals at 6 p.m.

MONROE, La. – ULM volleyball continues its home slate with a doubleheader on Tuesday, Sept. 16 facing Alcorn State at 3 p.m. and Lamar at 6 p.m. in Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
 
FOLLOW THE WARHAWKS –

SCOUTING THE BRAVES –
Alcorn State holds a 0-7 record heading into Monroe with its last loss being a four-set contest against Paul Quinn College. The top threat on the attack is Courtney Carter with 2.00 kills per set and ten total aces on the season. Setter Juliana Henao averages 5.79 assists per set, and libero Tomoni Giddings has 3.48 digs per set.
 
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS –
Lamar has lost four straight matches entering Tuesday, which includes a 0-3 weekend at the Carrie Yerty Classic with losses to Chattanooga, Memphis, and UT Martin. Maja Malinowska is the top attacker with 3.51 kills per set and 123 kills overall. Alexa Gonzalez totals 5.52 assists per set with libero Gabby Baker averaging 4.66 digs per set. Middle blocker Daniella Udegbuman leads the team with 50 total blocks through 11 matches.
 
CLEAR THE HALL –
Freshman outside hitter Aniya Hall has had a stellar 2025 season so far. She leads the team in total kills with 133 and in kills per set with 3.69. Her hitting percentage also ranks third on the squad at .233. With 46 kills, she earned Cowgirl Classic All-Tournament Team honors, her second all-tournament team of the 2025 season.
 
PLUMMER WILL FIX IT –
Freshman Kennedy Plummer is fresh off an excellent start to her career as a Warhawk. She is third on the team in kills per set with 2.28 and is hitting .217 on the year. Along with fellow outside hitter Hall, Plummer was named to the Cowgirl Classic All-Tournament team last weekend.
 
IN KENZIE WE TRUST –
Junior middle blocker Kenzie Behl serves as one of the key contributors in a 6-4 start to the season. She, along with Hall, was named to the Southeastern Showdown All-Tournament team. She is fourth in total kills with 55 and leads in hitting percentage with a .275 mark. Her defensive production is also good with 26 total digs and 30 total blocks which leads the team.
 
MORE OF MORGAN –
Junior setter Morgan Howard is the main returner for the Warhawks in 2025. She is averaging 5.53 assists per set through three games with 199 total. She is also the team leader in service aces with 24, which is more than half of the leader from the 2024 season through just six matches. With her total aces, she ranks second nationally in the category. Her defensive numbers rank well on the team as she holds third place in total digs with 71.
 
RANEY ON TO DEFEND –
Redshirt Junior libero Briana Raney leads the way defensively for ULM this season. She has produced 86 total digs with 3.74 digs per set with a .973 reception percentage. She also contributes 23 assists on the year offensively.
