ULM has not been beaten by the Ragin' Cajuns since 2022, with two victories and a draw in the past three meetings. LAST TIME OUT –
The ULM soccer team took a tie against Troy, 1-1. The Warhawks earned a point on the road, out-shooting the Trojans 14 to 8 overall. Four early shots from the Warhawks placed pressure on the Trojans, as
Charli Harris collected two shots in the opening 15 minutes. After a set piece for Troy allowed for a chance, Aiden Bailey notched a goal to settle the 1-0 lead in the 16th minute.
Â
An immediate yellow card for the Trojans following the goal placed ULM back in good position. Continual shots came but fell to the wayside, the home team holding strong with the lead. But it was
Rylee Methvin that collected from
Angela Moreno and
Jenni Huttunen for the equalizer in the 43rd minute.Â
Â
The Warhawks continued to collect shots on target in the second half, logging a total of seven through 90 minutes. Team captain
Lucia Gomez opened the second half with a shot on goal, Methvin following. But even as the Warhawks placed pressure on Troy, keeper Taylor Richards continued to answer. Two saves for ULM keeper
Jen Handy also prevented the game winner, as both teams settled with the 1-1 draw, ULM's first conference draw of the season.
