ATLANTA – The ULM Warhawks (5-12, 0-2 SBC) dropped in two contests on Friday (March 27), falling to Coastal Carolina (13-10, 3-0 SBC) and UNCW (8-14, 2-2 SBC).Â
Match 1: Coastal Carolina 5, ULM 0
On court one,
Abby Ryno and
Claire Williamson dropped in straight sets, 21-19, 21-14.
Paige Ingersoll and
Izabela Zukowska then followed suit. Flight three of
Samantha Rodriguez and
Avery Hunter saw a 21-13, 21-13 score to drop in a sweep.
Brooke Bankston and
Maddie Peterson fought to make it a three-set match, claiming the first set, but falling in the subsequent two (17-21, 22-20, 15-9). To close the contest,
Calli Otjen and
Katie Felts fell in a 21-16, 21-12 match.
Match 2: UNCWÂ 4, ULM 1
The Warhawks held on with UNCW, but ultimately fell in a 4-1 contest. Ryno/Wiliamson fell in straight sets, 21-18, 22-20. Ingersoll/Hunter also dropped in a 21-13, 21-14 score while Zukowska/Rodriguez dropped in a 21-17, 21-9 contest. On court four, Otjen/Felts were swept (21-7, 21-16). Bankston/Peterson were able to snag the lone point for the Warhawks, forcing three sets (15-21, 21-19, 15-9).
ULM Beach Volleyball will be back in action tomorrow (March 28) in the Sun Belt Mid-Year Tournament.Â
