MONROE, La. ­­— Rich Rosales, assistant coach of the ULM volleyball team, has been named as the next head coach of the ULM beach volleyball team, following the resignation of Baylee Young. Rosales will remain involved with the Warhawk indoor volleyball program as well. 
 
"I am extremely honored and blessed for this new opportunity to lead ULM Beach Volleyball," said Rosales. "I want to extend a personal thank you to SJ Tuohy for trusting me and giving me the chance to lead this group. I am excited to start working with these athletes and develop greater connections within the Warhawk community!"
 
Rosales arrived in Monroe after spending the last two seasons as an indoor volleyball graduate assistant at East Texas A&M. While with the Lions, Rosales was in charge of player and culture development, and helped guide setters (2024), pin hitters (2025) and defenders (2024-25).  Additionally, Rosales aided in practice planning, scouting and recruiting. Rosales coached Second Team All-Conference selection Kitana Tuufuli in 2024 and First Team All-Conference selections Gracie Campbell and Jade Washington in 2025. The Lion Volleyball program reached the Southland Conference Tournament two times with Rosales on staff.
 
"I am excited to have Rich lead the beach volleyball team this season," said Director of Athletics SJ Tuohy. "I think streamlining our volleyball operations with Rich having a hand in both programs allows for effective collaboration and efficient operations. Rich is a great young coach and I'm looking forward to seeing him in more of a leadership role."
 
Prior to East Texas A&M, Coach Rosales spent nine years as head coach and assistant director of Corpus Christi Force Volleyball Club. Rosales was the head coach of various teams between the ages of 15-18 during his time with CC Force, with a team qualifying for Nationals in eight of his nine years. In the latter half of his time with CC Force, Rosales was promoted to Assistant Director/Director of Recruiting and Training.
 
From 2017 to 2024, Rosales was a teacher and coach for Incarnate Word Academy. He spent five years with the Lady Angel volleyball program, three as head coach. As head coach, Rosales guided the Lady Angels to a district runner-up finish, and the deepest playoff run in school history. His 2023 team was a Regional Finalist, one game shy of a state appearance. Rosales coached several all-district selections, with one athlete garnering First Team All-State, the first for the volleyball program.
 
From 2015 to 2016, Rosales worked with his alma mater, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's indoor and beach volleyball teams. In 2015 and 2016, the Islanders were undefeated in both the regular season and conference tournaments, earning the program's first berth to the NCAA Tournament. Additionally, Rosales helped with the inaugural beach season in spring 2016. While with the Islanders, Rosales helped aid in the development of Conference Player of the Year, two Setters of the Year and Libero of the Year, and worked under the two-time Coach of the Year.
 
Rosales graduated from TAMU-CC with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in history. He graduated from East Texas A&M in 2026 with a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a sports coaching concentration. A Granbury, Texas native, Rosales graduated from Granbury High School in 2013.
