ATLANTA – The ULM beach volleyball team (5-14, 0-4 Sun Belt) fell in two matches during the Sun Belt Mid-Year Tournament, going 0-4 in the fourtnament.Â
Match 1: Georgia State 5, ULM 0
Georgia State (11-12, 2-1 Sun Belt) was able to capture a sweep over the Warhawks first. On court one,
Abby Ryno and
Claire Williamson fell in straight sets (21-11, 21-9),
Paige Ingersoll and
Avery Hunter doing the same on court two (21-10, 21-10).
Katie Felts and
Izabela Zukowska also dropped in straight sets, 21-19, 21-16.
Brooke Bankston and
Maddie Peterson dropped in two sets on court four (21-13, 21-15), as did
Calli Otjen and
Ava Sondrup (21-11, 21-11).
Match 2: College of Charleston 3, ULM 2
College of Charleston (7-14, 2-0 Sun Belt) notched a close win over the Warhawks with a 3-2 score. Ryno/Williamson went to three sets as the first flight, claiming sets one and three (21-10, 19-21, 15-13). Ingersoll/Hunter fell in two sets on court two (21-13, 21-16), as did Felts/Zukowska on court three (21-17, 21-17). Bankston/Peterson also claimed a victory, sweeping Charleston, 21-15, 21-18. Otjen/Sondrup also dropped in straight sets, 22-20, 21-17.
ULM Beach Volleyball will be back in action on April 3, traveling to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
