POINT CLEAR, Ala. – After one round of stroke play, the ULM women's golf team sits steady at second place in the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship after shooting 288 (E) at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Alabama.
Daniela Campillo was the lowest scorer for the Warhawks and shot a 68 (-4). Campillo is in a tie for first place with her score, draining five birdies in the first round.Â
Anna Andrysova sank six birdies in her first round and registered a score of 71 (-1) to rank fifth on the leaderboard.
Emma Manzini and
Zoe McLean-Tattan, both making their SBC Championship debut, signed scorecards at 74 (+2) and 75 (+3), respectively.
Johanna Sjursen lines up with McLean-Tattan, completing the lineup for the Warhawks with a 75Â (+3).
App State leads the field after day one with a score of 285 (-3). Texas State is in third place at 297 (+9) while Coastal Carolina is four strokes behind the Bobcats with a 301 (+13). Troy's Manya Saini fired a 68 (-4) to tie the lead with Campillo on the individual leaderboard. App State's Zoe Duval is in third with a 69 (-3), South Alabama's Lilian Buehle in fourth with a 70 (-2). Andrysova rounds out the top five and concludes those shooting under par.
