BRYAN, Texas – The ULM women's golf team claimed an eighth-place finish at the "Mo" Morial Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M, with a team score of 921. Senior
Johanna Sjursen led the Warhawks to success with her first individual title under her belt this season. Sjursen claimed the win by two strokes, defeating 15 ranked players.Â
Sjursen posted two even-par rounds to finish one-over for sole custody of the individual title. She also carded 10 birdies in the process. Next on the leaderboard for the Warhawks was
Zoe McLean-Tattan, who placed 36th of 84 competitors with a score of 232.
Emma Manzini was close behind with a total score of 233, carding a +1 in her opening round.
Anna Andrysova carded a 239 to finish 57th on the board, individual
Tessa Ion also finishing 57th with a 239.Â
Host Texas A&M claimed the team title, while Baylor and Missouri rounded out the top three. Charlotte's Jette Schulze (+3) tied for second behind Sjursen. Also tied for second was Texas A&M's Vanessa Borovilos–ranked 12th–and Baylor's Bridget Boczar.
The Warhawks now gear up to compete in the Sun Belt Tournament in Fairhope, Alabama. The tournament is slated to begin on April 20.
