TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The ULM women's golf team continues to compete in the second round of the NCAA Regionals, sitting at fifth on the leaderboard through two rounds at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club. The Warhawks drained three eagles in the second round of 18, on the way to a 294 (+6) day. ULM sits in fifth entering the final round of competition, the top five teams moving on to compete in Carlsbad, California.
Johanna Sjursen continues to lead the team and the field, sitting at first place with a 67 (-5) in the second round. She was one of three to sink an eagle, recording a field-leading 12 birdies across both rounds. She now sits at eight-under to hold the first-place spot.
Emma Manzini also dropped an eagle in the second round, finishing two-over to sit at a 149 (+5) over two rounds.
Anna Andrysova finished the second round with a 76 (+4) on the day, still in the top 20 on the leaderboard.
Daniela Campillo rounded out those who hit eagles in the second round, finishing with a 77 (+5) in the second round for a total six-over score through two.
Zoe McLean-Tattan rounded out the Warhawks, with a 77 (+5) day in the second round as well.
Host Florida continues to lead through two rounds with a five-under score, Florida State close behind with a four-under score. Those two teams remain as the only two under par, as Wake Forest (+2) and Eastern Michigan (+4) also sit in the top five. With an eight-under score through 36 holes, ULM's Sjursen holds the two-stroke lead for individual first place. Chloe Kovelesky (Wake Forest) records a six-under to reach second place. Florida State's Alexandra Gazzoli and Florida's Katelyn Huber both record a -4 across two rounds to round out the top three.
Stroke play will continue in Tallahassee for the final round on Wednesday (May 13). The top five teams on the leaderboard will be selected to move onto the NCAA National Championships in Carlsbad, California.
