MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team (2-5) returns to Louisiana to take on McNeese (0-6), Northwestern State (1-6) and Mississippi Valley State (1-4) this week. The Warhawks will host McNeese on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m., and then head to Ruston to play Northwestern State on Friday, Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. ULM will round out the weekend against Mississippi Valley State on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS –
McNeese enters the weekend looking for its first win of the season, and is coming off of a 0-3 loss to Illinois. The Cowgirls are led by first-year head coach Tayler Gray. Second-year Ava Henry leads the offense with 47 kills and 53.5 points. She also has a team-high 11 blocks so far this season. Libero Sophia Tocmo has recorded 80 digs, and Megan Grose has 80 assists.
 
SCOUTING THE DEMONS –
Northwestern State enters the match up coming off of a 0-3 loss to Little Rock. The Demons are 1-6 on the season, with their lone win coming against Grambling. The two teams met last week, when the Warhawks swept the match up 3-0 in Monroe. Elsie Sanchez led the Demons with seven kills and two aces, while Jade Longlad made 23 assists.
 
SCOUTING THE DELTA DEVILS –
Mississippi Valley State enters the weekend coming off of a 0-3 loss to Nicholls. The team's lone win came against Wiley in 3-1 fashion. Taylor Wooten leads the Delta Devils with 36 kills, and Aniyah Moore has tallied 16 blocks.
 
SERIES HISTORY –

• Thursday's meeting between the Warhawks and the Cowboys will be the 23rd in program history. ULM took the last meeting in 3-1 fashion on the road, but McNeese won the previous four match ups and leads the all-time series 4-18.
• Friday's meeting will the 24th in program history between the Warhawks and the Demons. The two teams met on September 1, when the Warhawks won 3-0. ULM has taken the last two matches, and leads the last five record 3-2. In the Warhawks' last win, Aniya Hall led the offense with 13 kills, and Tatum Clay made three solo blocks.
• Saturday's meeting between the Delta Devils and the Warhawks will be the fifth in program history. Mississippi Valley State took the first match up in straight sets, but ULM has taken each match up since in 3-0 sweeps.

LAST TIME OUT –
ULM competed at the GCU Invitational over the weekend, and fell to GCU, Temple and San Francisco. Abby Cunningham led the Warhawks with 32 total kills across the matches, while Morgan Howard made 53 assists. 

CLEAR THE HALL –
Second-year outside hitter Aniya Hall picked up the 2026 season right where she left off in her freshman campaign. She started the season with four consecutive matches with kill totals in the double digits. She hit a season-high 16 in the first match of the Lion Invitational against Southern Illinois, and in the win over Texas Southern, she led the Warhawk offense with 11 kills, hitting .313. She added three total blocks and nine digs, as well as two service aces.
 
A pillar in ULM's lineup, she has started in each match she has appeared in. Hall ranks ninth in the Sun Belt in kills per set with 3.41, and seventh in points per set with 4.00.
 
CONFIDENT CUNNINGHAM –
Fourth-year right side/outside hitter Abby Cunningham continues to establish herself at the net. She enters the third weekend of the season with four matches in the double-digits for kills. Cunningham ranks 10th in the conference in kills per set with 3.38, as well in points per set with 3.83.
 
She set a career-high 22 kills in ULM's match against East Texas A&M, a number that led all players on the court. She set career-highs in points, with 23 for Warhawks, and in attacks with 49. She hit .306 against the Lions. Cunningham added four digs and two total blocks on the defensive side of the ball during the match.
 
RELIABLE RANEY –
Fifth-year libero Briana Raney holds down the defensive effort each match, totaling 71 digs, 15 assists and four service aces across the first four games of the year. She is averaging 3.50 digs per set for eighth best in the Sun Belt, and earned a .963 reception percentage on 82 receptions. Raney has started each match at the libero spot, playing in all sets of the season thus far.
 
FRESHMAN PHENOM –
Tatum Clay leads the Warhawks defense at the net with 24 total blocks, including five solo blocks. The first-year is one of the few players to have appeared in each set of each match, and has started each match of her debut season. Clay ranks third on the team with 46.5 points, and she has a second-best four aces.
