MONROE, La. – The University of Louisiana Monroe softball team and head coach Molly Fichtner finalized its 2024 schedule Thursday (Dec. 14). The Warhawks are scheduled to play 33 home games in Monroe this spring. Tickets for the 2024 season will go on sale January 2. 

"We are looking forward to hitting the ground running this spring," said Fichtner. "We are fortunate to have so many home games on our schedule this year and enjoy competing on our home turf in front of our fans. We welcome back several experienced returners and have added a handful of new players who will make an immediate impact. The time is now for ULM softball." 

ULM will begin the season on Feb. 9 at the Mardi Gras Mambo in Youngsville, La. The Warhawks are scheduled to play Montana and Providence on opening day and will wrap up the weekend with games versus UT Arlington, Green Bay and North Dakota. The Warhawks will play host to Alcorn State in a doubleheader on Feb. 14 in the first home games of the season.  

ULM will host the Warhawk Invitational from Feb. 16-18 and will play Lindenwood and Louisiana Tech in the tournament. The Best on the Bayou Tournament will be held Feb. 22-25 when the Warhawks will welcome Northwestern State, Syracuse, Evansville and Sam Houston for a full weekend of softball action. ULM wraps up its 17-game homestand with a midweek game versus Jackson State on Feb. 28 and a three-game series versus Nicholls on March 1-2. 

After a midweek road game at Grambling State, the Warhawks will travel to Lake Charles for a three-game set at McNeese State from March 8-9. ULM will battle Mississippi State on March 13 in Starkville. Sun Belt Conference play begins on March 15 when the Warhawks travel to Southern Mississippi for a three-game series. Following a midweek game versus Southeastern Louisiana, ULM will face South Alabama from March 22-24 in the first home conference series. ULM will finish the month of March in West Virginia for a three-game set at Marshall on March 28-30.  

The Warhawks are scheduled to play at LSU on April 2 in Baton Rouge. ULM will play 12 home games in April and will wrap up its home slate by celebrating Senior Day on April 28 versus the Ragin' Cajuns. ULM will conclude the regular season with a series at Georgia State during the first weekend of May. The SBC Softball Tournament will be played at San Marcos, Texas from May 8-11.
