BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The ULM Men's Indoor Track & Field team finished fifth and the women's team was 10th at the Sun Belt Conference Championships Monday and Tuesday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The men finished with 51 points to place fifth, while Arkansas State won the team title with 174.5 points. The women finished 10th with 46 points, as just 12 points separated fourth place from 10th. Arkansas State won the team title with 106.5 points.
ULM picked up two conference championships on the meet, with
Ali Eren Unlu setting a new personal, school and SBC meet record by clearing 7-3 (2.21 meters), the eighth-best jump in NCAA Division I this season, to win the championship, while the women's distance medley relay team of
Kimone Campbell,
Brittney Roberson,
Amanda Radava and
Paula Vaquera Cervantes earned a win and set a school record in 11:49.82.
On the women's side,
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi was second in the triple jump at 42-0 1/2 (12.81 meters) while adding a fifth-place finish in the long jump at 19-9 1/2 (6.03).
Claudine Raud-Gumiel was third in the pentathlon with a personal-best and school-record score of 3,791 points. She set personal bests in the 60-meter hurdles (8.57), long jump (18-6 1/2, 5.65), high jump (5-6, 1.68) and the 800 meters (2:31.05).
Kimone Campbell set a new school record in the indoor 200 in 2:11.57 to place fourth in the 800, while
Ainsley Hamsher set a new personal best and school record to take fourth in the pole vault, clearing 12-5 1/4 (3.79).
Paula Vaquera Cervantes set a personal best and school record in the mile in 4:58.66 in Monday's preliminaries before finishing ninth in the finals on Tuesday.
For the men,
Joseph McEvoy was third in the heptathlon with a personal-best 5,136 points. He set a personal best in the pole vault by clearing 13-10 1/2 (4.23 meters).
Jakob Fudge was third in the weight throw with a personal-best heave of 60-5 3/4 (18.43) and also finished 10th in the shot put with a throw of 45-9 (13.94 meters).
Jay Louison-Roe was third in the triple jump at 48-9 (14.86 meters) and placed 10th in the long jump at 21-8 3/4 (6.62).
Jordan Hollis set a personal best and school record in the 200 in 21.69 in Monday's preliminaries before taking sixth in Tuesday's finals in 21.82.
The Warhawks set 22 personal bests in the meet.

Cameron Mount in the pole vault (11-1 1/2, 3.39),

Sohalia Schoen in the 3,000 (11:12.23) and the 5,000 (19:15.84) and
Jalynn Lozano in the 3,000 (11:22.57).
Personal bests on the men's side included
Bailey Couch in the heptathlon (4,798 points), 1,000 meters (2:47.97), 60-meter hurdles (8.65), high jump (5-11 1/2, 1.82), 60 meters (7.30) and pole vault (12-2 3/4, 3.73), Hollis in the 400 (47.90),
Devin Bilbo in the 60-meter hurdles (8.15) and
Ericleon May in the 400 (52.63).
