MONROE, La. – College Sports Communicators announced their Men's and Women's Soccer Academic All-District honorees, with six ULM soccer players named to the list. One of the six honorees, senior midfielder
Mara Grutkamp, was also named a finalist for Academic All-America, to be voted on at a later date by College Sports Communicators members.
Leane Commaret completed her first season at ULM making 17 starts across 19 appearances. She recorded four shots, two on goal.
Emelie Kobler made seven starts over 19 appearances in her senior season, scoring two goals and an assist.
Vanessa Praher, the only ULM sophomore to be honored, made 11 starts across 18 appearances, scoring a goal and two assists.
Ally Richardson made 14 starts on 19 appearances, scoring three goals and an assist, including two penalty kicks.
Sophia Youngman made seven starts in 19 appearances, tallying an assist and five shots.
Grutkamp was named All-District, as well as a finalist for Academic All-America. Grutkamp started in all 20 matches in her senior season, scoring four goals and six assists. She posted a scoring average of .638, ranking 13th nationally. The midfielder also tied the program records for career assists (24) and points (55). She was named to the All-Sun Belt First Team, her second consecutive year named all-conference.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
